Aramide and PBO fiber rigging, including carbon fibers, is one of most significant tehnical advantages in yacht racing today. Low weight, comparing to wire or rod rigging, allows better stability and lower keel weight which results with greater yacht performance. Fiber rigging is extremly strong (comparing to wire and rod rigging 100% stronger), extensibility during sailing is only 0,1%-0,2%. Fiber rigging is a standard in world racing today (Americas Cup, Transat, RTWR, Transpac, Aroundalone, etc.)
Made from unidirectional Aramid fibers covered in a lightweight polyurethane jacket for UV and abrasion resistance, Lightweight, flexible, low-stretch, durable, and strong enough to replace rod or wire rigging.
Made from unidirectional PBO fibers covered in a lightweight polyurethane jacket for UV and abrasion resistance, Lightweight, flexible, extremely low-stretch, and durable. Can be used anywhere to gain weight savings over rod.
Custom constructed to create ultra-lightweight cables that conform to any stretch or strength requirement. Slings can be made in both PBO and Kevlar, and offer a variety of terminations to meet any customer demand. Fully waterproof, UV resistant, and stand up very well to abrasion.
As a service center, we follow BSI’s recommendations and guidelines. We are fully backed by the factory and we only use BSI supplied, or approved, materials when doing the refits for new or previously supplied BSI projects. This ensures complete visibility and history of all materials installed in the rigging package.
